HERE'S WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
ABOUT
PIANO PATTERNS |
John,
Thank you so much for the lessons! I look forward to each one.

I really appreciate your effort in sending me the piano newsletter. You
are very dedicated in your work. I am not playing as good as you show on the
midi. It will be my goal to do that anyway. You are very detail in explaining the music piece. Thank you again. ---- Irene Kwan |

I just received the package and could not wait to see it. It is what
I need to learn. Thank you so much. You are a wonderful teacher.
I have not got a teacher like you who knows how to explain the music. May be the
teacher in City College is not a private teacher like you. -----

Do you have a course on playing the
blues? I love your patterns I have been playing for about two years and I started fooling around with your patterns and it really makes the piano fun
thx

I highly recommend John's pattern piano
method. The speed at which I am developing an ability to sit down and play songs from lead
sheets and fake books is surpassing my wildest dreams. I've looked at
other products that are out there and even bought one or two, but nothing seems to be
as logical and as effective as what John has taught me in just a few months.
I cant wait to amaze my family this Christmas when I sit down and whip out some Christmas
carols for us all to sing to. Thanks John.

I'M 31 YEARS OLD , SINCE I WAS A CHILD I ALWAYS WANTED TO PLAY KEYBOARD, I TOUHGT IT WAS TO LATE TO BEGIN, BUT WITH THE RHYTHM PATTERN SYSTEM I ENJOY NOW MY OWN MUSIC... THANKS JOHN FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND TEACHING.

I basically stumbled on your site by
accident, just surfing the net looking for tips on how to play piano blues. I was very impressed by your site,
more so when I discovered your novel way of teaching. I'm quite new to
playing piano, but have found your technique leaps and bounds quicker than other
methods I've tried - principally learning parrot fashion from sheet music/CD tutor books.
Your constant flow of email tips is also
great! Without a teacher to egg me on, it's easy to lose motivation. But your teaching style and flow of
emails is all I need.

I'm not a beginner piano player and some of
the material is for beginners, but I learn some things here that I couldn't learn anywhere else.

I am a church musician and i was
looking for a website
to help improve about my understanding of the piano. I
have found other sites that gives you some
information, but not as much as this one. This site is
a tremendous blessing to me, and i would recommend it
to anybody, church musician or someone who just want to
learn how to play the piano. John is the greatest. One
thing i like about this is that it has different
levels. I know that you are going to be blessed by
what he will send you.
God bless! Matthew

I'm
a guitar player that was wanting to add piano and organ parts to my home
recordings. I've looked at all sorts of lessons. Most of which lost me with confusing music theory jargon.
John presents lessons like he's sitting on the bench
next to me; giving pointers and insights into the many different styles
he knows. He constantly makes me feel that I can play what's in the lesson. Thanks John!

Thank you for documenting all
these great piano patterns in your
books. They are great for making up accompaniments for my students.
I'm eager to see how I can use them for singing my favorite songs too.

John, I appreciate so very much the help you give me through
your newsletter and in answering my questions. Being a 67 year beginner at the keyboard, I
have a lot of questions. The information you provide is a real help in
studying and practicing. Thank you so much. Don Vickery Eagle

I was looking for info on how to play gospel piano and am glad
to have found John Axsom's website. Great stuff! Easy to understand instructions
and the MIDI file make it easy to follow. I recommend that you check out the
website.
Thanks.

Thanks to your lessons I am able to play accompaniment style,
know what to do with the left hand. I also feel comfortable using 6th and 7th cords now. My feeling for rhythm has improved and when I apply a pattern I can feel when the song doesn't start with a full measure even if I don't have the sheet music.
Patty
PS. I have bought some material from you, but I have also
learned a lot from the free lessons

Hi John
I have learnt a lot from the lessons you have sent
me by email. They are easy to understand which is very helpful for a
beginner There were some techniques which I came across for the
first time.
I had bought a few books on the net previously and
was disappointed because they turned out quite different from what I expected. Your books are bang on. I have already purchased a couple. I look forward
to having more lessons from you.
Thanks
