Hi, This is me, John Axsom, I have been playing clarinet since I was 7 years of age.  I taught Benny Goodman everything he knows...Ha!...Just kidding.... I hope you enjoy the free clarinet music and sound files.  By the way, that's the same clarinet I started out with when I was 7 years of age.  Take good care of your clarinet, and it will last you a long time.  I played first chair clarinet in elementary school, junior high school, and high school (Hilltop High School - Chula Vista - California).  I won first place in the all district solo contest when I was in 9th grade.  The song that landed me that honor was Clarinet Royale.  The clarinet was the first instrument I learned.  Later I branched out to the saxophone.  Going from clarinet to saxophone is quite easy because the fingerings are the same for one octave between the saxophone and the clarinet.  The flute was the next logical instrument to go to, because again the fingering is very similar to clarinet and saxophone.  Along the way, I started taking piano lessons in High School, and I taught myself how to play the guitar.  After I graduated from high school, I picked up the 5 string banjo and bass guitar.  It was an easy transition because these instruments are similar to the guitar.  I also play the harmonica, accordion, and the trumpet.....let's see...did I leave anything out...Ha! ....Oh yes....I also play the Q-Chord.  You know, anybody can play the Q-chord.  Go to my homepage and click on the link to the Q-chord and learn about an instrument that any non-musician can play.

With today's technology you can even enjoy your clarinet more by playing along with CD's, and midi files on your computer, and I hope I can add to your pleasure and fun by offering you these free materials and a few materials that cost only one dollar.  Come and re-visit me at my clarinet webpage, because I will be continually adding new music for you to download, and a lot of it is free.

Sincerely,

John Axsom
